We have tried to make our price structure as straightforward as possible so you can book the correct valet required for your vehicle. Our prices are based upon the actual size of your vehicle small, medium, and large and the actual valet you require carried out. All of our costings are subject to the final sight of your vehicle once we arrive on site; if additional money is to be charged, this will be confirmed with the customer before the valet commences, like excessive dog hair removal from inside the vehicle.
No, you can be in the comfort of your home or office whilst we are valeting your vehicle.
If we find anything wrong with your vehicle once we start the valet, we will let you know straight away.
Polish
The purpose of polish is to clean your paintwork and make it shiny again. A polish contains abrasives, this is most commonly aluminium oxide; as you put it on the paintwork, it will remove dead paint which has become oxidised. Polishes also contain lots of solvents which clean your paint-work, some do contain waxes and oils, but generally speaking, these are not enough to give protection to your car. In fact, having polished your car, you will have stripped back any protection you may have, so we always recommend an application of wax afterwards, or a ceramic coating added. How often you should your car be polished, the best answer is to do it when it needs it, when the paintwork starts looking dull and tired. But once every six to twelve months is fine.
Wax
The purpose of wax products it coats your car in a protective, sacrificial layer. Wax products contain a blend of waxes and oils. The waxes can be natural waxes and/or synthetic, although there is a trend at the moment for synthetic-based products to be called Sealants. These products get attacked by road salts, UV rays, ozone and all the other nasties, but while they are bearing the brunt of this punishment, your paint-work doesn’t have to, which is why we call it a sacrificial layer. Waxes and sealants generally last from one month to one year; generally speaking, most waxes last three months. Many waxes will say that they last a year, but they seldom last anywhere near that due to the environmental conditions where the vehicle is kept.
There are many reasons to have your vehicle professionally valeted; the main benefit of regular valeting is maintaining your vehicle's appearance and value. Your vehicle is under constant attack from the elements; acid rain, industrial fallout, dirt, grit and UV rays from the sun are all damaging to your vehicle's paintwork. Regular valeting will help protect and stop your vehicle's paintwork from fading.
JG Valeting only uses high-quality professional products to valet & detail your vehicle. From cleaning chemicals, and upholstery shampoos, to wax, we do not cut corners on the products we use.
Sorry no, we do not have premises for valeting vehicles as we only offer a mobile valeting service. We carry all the required equipment onboard so we can come to you.
Yes, we offer regular maintenance/valeting please enquire about this service.
They won’t be thoroughly wet, but they will be damp to the touch (especially during the Winter months) It’s recommended you turn on the warm heating inside your vehicle or slightly open the windows for ventilation in warmer months this will help with the drying process.
It all depends on the individual vehicle, along with the valeting service you are booking and any additional finishing you may require.
Wash & Hoover 1hr

Premium Valet 8hrs-12hrs
Once we arrive on-site, we can evaluate the vehicle and give you an approximate time.
Unfortunately, it is unlikely that a scratch will thoroughly polish out and disappear. Usually, if the scratch/scuff catches on your fingernail, this is a sign it will be too deep to machine polish out and a smart repair or body shop or smart repair may be required. We will be happy to advise once our technician is on site.
Paintwork correction is the removal of common paint problems, such as light scratches, bird stains, swirl marks, buffer marks, micro-marring, and 3D hologram effects. This is carried out by re-levelling the lacquer by one or two microns, so that the paintwork reflects the light perfectly at all angles, including direct sunlight.
Car Detailing is the process of thorough cleaning, restoration and finishing of the vehicle, both inside and out, to produce a showroom quality level of detail.
Removing dog hair from carpets, seats and boot mats can be a long process involving hand brushing, specialist hair removal tools, and even pulling out individual hairs by hand that has become stuck to upholstery fibres. On top of this, there are extended periods of vacuuming. Hair removal can add between one to three hours to the time it takes to complete a valet. This is why we add a surcharge for this service.
It is entirely up to you; every customer's needs and requirements are different. We would recommend you have your vehicle fully valeted at least 1-2 times a year to maintain its condition and appearance, with an additional maintenance valet in between to ensure your vehicle's level of protection against the elements.
No, as we carry both onboard the van. However, some of our equipment works better with external power and generally will ask to use your power. But if you have a lot of vehicles being valeted or you’re our last call of the day, we may ask to hook up to your external water supply if possible.
We have had many years of experience valeting new and used vehicles for dealerships, along with private customers and the motor trade.
Some stains do become permanent, and some marks can only be removed with very specialist treatments. However, with all the contacts and experience we have, we can very quickly advise what can and cannot be done. We are a very good car valeting company we do not offer a full repair service, but where possible, we can advise the best route forward should you have an issue.
Generally speaking, the prominent smells we can remove are: cigarettes, milk, vomit, pets, urine, faeces, and paint. All of these smells can be removed adequately, but in some cases, it can be impossible to remove them fully this is time-dependent on how long the contaminant has been left in the vehicle untreated.
Yes, that is true to a certain extent, but I would avoid that if at all possible for just a few of the following reasons:
a) Fresh gloves are worn for each individual vehicle.
b) During high cases of Covid-19, a BioBlast disinfectant & sanitiser is sprayed inside every vehicle 15 minutes before we go inside. The formula contains three powerful biocides proven effective against a wide range of pathogens, including enveloped viruses such as Covid-19.
c) Paintwork on modern cars is now water-based rather than lead-based and is easily scratched if it isn’t washed using the correct techniques and chemicals, you could end up with expensive paintwork issues.
d) They may not be insured if something goes wrong.
e) They may not be experienced.
f) We use clean cloths for each individual vehicle and do not cross-contaminate between vehicles. On average, for a valet, JG will use between 8-16 fresh clothes per vehicle; unlike some car wash outlets, one is used for every car inside and out. We also provide fresh water for every valet there is no guarantee this happens at the supermarket car wash.
g) Safety for everyone is key and JG work to a very strict Covid-19 working policy.
h) We only use high-quality professional products to valet your vehicle.
On occasions this maybe possible due to a customer cancellation, I would recommend at least 24 to 48 hours' notice as appointments on the day are not always available.
Yes, we generally try and avoid working on Sundays, however, it does depend on our weekly work flow so please enquire to check our availability.
If it rains or other bad weather conditions prevent your valet from being carried out on the day of booking, we will contact you at the earliest opportunity to arrange another suitable time. We are able to work through the cold weather, unfortunately, rain and snow prevent us from valeting.
Payment can be made either by cash, or credit/debit card. We carry SumUp onboard our vehicles to process your valeting payment securely.
Our vans are fully equipped to carry water and a generator for power to work our required equipment.
In the event that you need to cancel your appointment. Please let us know as soon as possible by phone. We reserve the right to take full payment if a valet is cancelled on the day of booking or we turn up, and the vehicle is unavailable. This reflects the fact that our time is valuable, and we can not afford to lose half a day's work. If you need to rebook your valet, please let us know as soon as possible but please bear in mind that you may have to wait for another suitable booking date as we do get busy.
