Are you coming to the end of your car lease?
How to return your vehicle and avoid any excessive penalty charges.
Our End Of Lease Services
At the end of your lease or PCP contract, you'll need to return your vehicle to the garage or lease company. They'll assess it to see if it meets the agreed-upon return condition, taking into account any "fair wear and tear" that may have occurred.
"Fair wear and tear" is normal deterioration that happens from using a vehicle. It's different from damage caused by a specific event or series of events, like an accident, misuse, or neglect. (Source: BVRLA - British Vehicle Rental & Leasing Association)
The "fair wear and tear" clause covers things like exterior paintwork, bumpers and trim, interior condition, all glass and mirrors, tyres, wheels, and the mechanical condition of the vehicle.

As your lease comes to an end, it's important to understand the standards that will be used to assess your vehicle. The British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA) has an industry-standard checklist that you can request from your leasing company. This will help you identify any damage that falls outside of "Fair Wear & Tear" and needs to be repaired before you return the car.
It's a good idea to carry out this assessment 6-8 weeks before the end of your lease, so you have time to arrange any necessary repairs. JG Valeting offers an end-of-lease valet service that will get your car ready for handover and help avoid any penalties charged by the leasing company.
